Meet the Firm

Mark A. Goodis, CPA, MBA

As the founder of Goodis & Company, P.A., Mark is a certified public accountant licensed in the state of Florida with over 30 years of experience in tax and accounting. Mark worked for large and local accounting firms before establishing his own practice in 1984. He specializes in tax and accounting, working with individuals, partnerships, S Corporations, C Corporations, LLCs, estate and trusts, and IRS representation.

Mark graduated from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, and later pursued and earned a Master of Business Administration in 1979 from Long Island University. Originally licensed in New York State, Mark is now a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

With his strong background in business, Mark possesses the ability to go beyond traditional accounting services and provide business owners with everyday solutions. Using Mark's advice, business owners have seen their businesses grow to and beyond their potential. By analyzing his client's total financial picture and communicating effectively, Mark brings a fresh look to each client's individual situation. In essence, Mark is a people person; in regularly communicating with his clients, Mark is able to go beyond the numbers and become a client's trusted advisor.

Currently, Mark lives in Delray Beach with his wife, Gail. His interests include playing tennis, going to the theater, socializing with friends, and spending time with his family.

  Josh Goodis, CPA, MTAX

Josh is a certified public accountant licensed in the state of Florida. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University, earning both a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting and a Master of Taxation degree. Josh is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and also is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Having joined the firm in 2003, Josh specializes in tax and accounting services for businesses and individuals. Josh provides tax planning and tax preparation for S corporations, C corporations, partnerships, LLCs, sole proprietors, individuals and also provides IRS representation. Using his researching skills and experience, Josh helped save thousands of dollars in taxes for clients by recommending competent tax strategies.  Josh continually adds innovative technologies to the firm, knowing that these applications provide great value to his clients. Putting in hard work and quality service is as important to Josh as making new and existing clients feel comfortable and at ease.

Josh lives in Coral Springs, Florida with his wife, Maria. He's a fan of basketball and tennis, loves to travel, and enjoys family and friends.

  Gail Goodis, Officer Manager

Since the inception of Goodis & Company, PA, Gail has provided client services such as bookkeeping, payroll, and individual tax returns. Gail attended New York State College, where she majored in Computer Science. Her previous work experience at AXA Equitable and Transceiver East provided her with valuable skills in bookkeeping and customer service. With Gail's ability to analyze numbers and organize efficiently, she had developed into an important member of the firm.

Gail is an avid canasta and mah jongg player. She also reads extensively, particularly mysteries and suspense novels.
